Can I Upload Custom JAR Files to SearchStax Managed Solr?

Solr offers a variety of custom plugins, usually delivered in the form of a JAR file. SearchStax allows you to include custom JAR files in your Managed Solr deployment, but there are some restrictions.

  • You can’t upload it yourself. Due to security concerns, our engineers have to do it for you.
  • Since SearchStax employees are involved, we can offer this service to Premium clients only (Gold, Platinum, and Platinum Plus SLAs).
  • To be clear, JAR upload is not available to Free Trial or Silver (self-service) clients.
