Can I experiment with Solr boost parameters?
The SearchStax Relevance Bench provides a mechanism for experimenting with Solr relevancy using conditional boosts and functions that calculate boosts from index-field values.
These parameter sets are called "relevance experiments." SearchStax supports text boosts, numeric boosts, promo boosts, freshness boosts, ratings boosts, and random boosts.
SearchStax then keeps track of subsequent search events so that the results of one experiment can be compared with the results of other experiments. An experiment that shows conspicuous success can be promoted to be the default behavior of the search site. See Relevance Bench.
